Monitoring methodology

direct method of measurement::

thermistor method: The coil temperature is monitored in real time by embedding a Pt100 thermistor in the transformer coil. When the temperature reaches the set value, the thermistor feeds back the temperature change to the temperature controller.

optical fiber thermometry: Using IF-C fluorescent fiber optic sensor directly mounted on the transformer coil, the temperature signal is transmitted through fiber optics, which has the advantages of anti-electromagnetic interference, high voltage resistance and so on.

infrared thermometry: Measurement of the surface temperature of transformer coils using an infrared thermometer. This method is suitable for quick inspection, but can only measure the surface temperature.

simulation modeling approach::

The temperature variations of a dry-type transformer in actual operation are simulated by building a two- or three-dimensional model of the transformer. For example, a 2D rotationally symmetric model is used to simulate a dry-type transformer with an oblong coil to calculate the loss distribution and temperature variations within the coil.
