system architecture

Multiple UHF sensors are deployed on the transformer to collect the UHF signals generated by the transformer partial discharge. The collected signals are transmitted to the transformer localized on-line monitoring IED (Intelligent Electronic Device), where amplification, filtering and de-noising, data storage, feature extraction, pattern recognition, and threshold comparison, spectrogram generation, fault diagnosis, and other processing are carried out sequentially.
The processed data is transmitted to the remote backstage monitoring system through the fiber optic network based on IEC61850 standard. The remote background monitoring system can display the data and visualize the information about partial discharge of transformer in the form of charts and diagrams, which can help the staff to grasp the partial discharge of transformer in time and provide the basis for transformer fault warning and maintenance.
