Functions and effects

1. Real-time monitoring of oil level: Transformer oil level gauge can reflect the change of oil level in the oil storage cabinet in real time. Through the float or buoy and other floating elements, with the rise or fall of the oil level, drive the pointer or indicator to move, so as to accurately display the oil level.
2. Temperature scale calibration: Oil level gauges are usually labeled with scale lines at different temperatures (e.g. -30°C, +20°C, +40°C) for calibrating the oil level at different ambient temperatures. For example, the +20℃ line is the oil level calibration reference under standard working conditions, and the -30℃ line is the minimum safety limit under extreme low temperature.
3. Alarm function: Some oil level gauges have built-in alarm devices that trigger an alarm signal when the oil level is too high or too low. For example, when the oil level drops to the lowest limit, it may indicate that there is an oil leakage problem in the transformer.
4. accident prevention: By monitoring changes in oil level, it is possible to prevent problems such as windings being exposed to air due to low oil levels, which reduces insulation, or increased pressure in the tank due to high oil levels in the transformer.

Common Types

1. Glass Tube Oil Level Gauge: Simple structure, usually connected by welded flanges, equipped with steel ball safety valves, suitable for storage tanks, reaction towers and other scenarios.
2. Quartz Tube Oil Level Gauge: It has good shatterproof performance and the temperature range is -10℃~+200℃, which is suitable for the occasions with high requirements on the strength of oil level gauge.
3. Mechanical Oil Level Gauge: Suitable for generator set fuel tanks with a variety of mounting options and customizable lengths.
4. Magnetic Oil Level Gauge: The oil level indication is realized through magnetic coupling, which has the advantages of waterproof and dustproof, and the protection level can reach IP65.
5. Electronic Oil Level Gauge: Equipped with a digital interface to remotely monitor oil level for smart grid applications.
